Progress has been good, especially in WP5, and predominantly as planned. Minor slippage has occurred in other WPs, mainly due to the demands of WP5.

• ALERT system technical report 90% completed (delivery was due end Q3, has slipped to Q4)
• Electrode installation plans finalised.
• System housing designed and foundations constructed.
• Experimental tank designed, and subcontractor found for construction.
• Suitable laboratory space obtained at BGS for installation of tank and hydrogeophysics facility.
• Hydrological modelling code (SUTRA) and supporting software evaluated.
• Full 3D resolution tests carried out.
• Reference time-lapse data processing code 75% completed.
• High-quality geoelectrical resistivity data obtained from original test boreholes, validating choice of installation method and electrode type.
• Electrode network installed (Deliverable 11).
• Cores from three boreholes logged to provide further ground truth for calibration of geoelectrical images.
• Trenching and ducting installed for ALERT system.
• Site remediation works completed.
• Site reinstated to full use as car park.
• Bugs in database pre-processing filters found and fixed.
• Database deployed onto dedicated server and automatic processing of data implemented.
• Q2 progress and project board meetings held.
• Approval gained for virement of project funds.
• Public website updated.
• SKDC press release published.
• Q3 reporting completed.
